Hi! My name is Sarah Chunn.  I have loved collies for much of the last 30 years.  My family has had them for many generations and I my self have been owned by several wonderful collies.  I have finally found the foundation I have been seeking and she has given me my first litter.  I did not rush blindly into the breeding.  It took three years of more education to get to this point.  Breeding is not for the faint of heart.  It is many sleepless nights waiting on a bitch to whelp and then many more caring for fragile pups.  I spend alot of time researching on the internet and in libraries and veterinary medical journals, the many aspects of collie health and I regularly ask several experienced breeders questions regarding the health and care of my dogs.

I do not believe that a collie should be just a show dog.  They were meant for work.  Whether that work is herding, agility, or therapy, I think they need a purpose.  A fine combination would be the dog that could excel at many tasks and blow the competition away in the conformation ring.  It can be a difficult combination.  This is what I hope to achieve.  Many breeders/exhibitors of today believe the same and are producing outstanding dogs of great quality.  I hope to be able to include links to some of their websites in the near future.

I have been lucky to find a great mentor in Mary Catoir of Earthstar Collies.  I hope to learn alot more from her.  This will be a continual learning experience and I can't thank my mentor more.   I believe strongly that noone should run headfirst into a puppy purchase.  Show or pet, there is alot involved.
